Forget:     I won’t forget skiing in Vancouver. (I will always have a memory of a past action)
                I forgot to buy the milk. (Something I had to do, but forgot to do)
Stop:    I stopped drinking coffee. (I gave up this habit)
            I stopped to drink coffee. (I stopping doing something else in order to have a cup of coffee)
Regret: I regret dropping out of school. (A mistake in the past that I can’t change)
            I regret to inform you that I can’t help you. (A formal way to say sorry/deliver bad news)

Today in class, we discussed how to say negative things more politely. For example, instead of rude, we can say not very polite and instead of boring, we can say not very interesting. It is important to know which words have a positive (+) or a negative (-) connotation. Be careful with your words!

Charlie Chaplin (April 16, 1889- December 25, 1977) was a famous English comic actor, most famous duing the silent film era. He had a very distinct personality and was very creative and influential. Today, he continues to be celebrated as one of the greats in film.
